Description

The purpose of this NRFP is to select a Proponent who has a software solution that will help ICES with managing its privacy, legal, and regulatory obligations. Specifically, ICES needs to automate and integrate activities that will help demonstrate fulfilment of its ongoing legal and compliance obligations. These obligations include:

ICES is a Prescribed Entity (“PE”) pursuant to the Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004(“PHIPA”) and Ontario Regulation 329/04 to PHIPA.
ICES’ authority as a PE pursuant to the Coroner’s Act and Ontario Regulation 538/18 to theCoroner’s Act.
Specific requirements set out in the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario’s (“IPC”)Manual for the Review and Approval of Prescribed Persons and Prescribed Entities (“Manual”).2
Specific requirements set out in the IPC (Information and Privacy Commissioner) Coroners ActAddendum to the Manual for the Review and Approval of Prescribed Persons and PrescribedEntities (“Manual Addendum”).
