Description

The Service Provider will be required to provide the following:

Provide Background Check services through a secure, cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) offering using a common internet browser as user interface (preferably Microsoft Edge).
At the request of the IESO, conduct a national criminal record check that provides a minimum 7-year history for the individual(s) specified. The Service Provider may also be required to perform an international criminal record check if the individual specified has lived outside of Canada anytime within the last 7 years.
At the request of the IESO, provide national and international criminal record checks as outlined above for various individuals that may include, but are not limited to:
1. New and current IESO employees and board members; and
2. New and current contractors.
On an ad hoc basis, for new IESO employee hires, provide complete and accurate:
Employment checks
Reference checks
Education checks
Credential verifications

Reference checks are currently being conducted in-house by the IESO, however the IESO may require the Service Provider to conduct them in future.

Provide detailed instructions to the IESO regarding the results of a criminal record check. To be clear, the Service Provider will detail how to correctly interpret the results of the criminal record check and if the results are deemed acceptable, i.e. pass, fail or other.
Provide and/or identify any documentation, protocols and/or industry best practices that must be followed or used as a guideline with respect to obtaining criminal record checks.
