Haldimand County is seeking to retain a qualified Consulting Team consisting of architectural/engineering specialists, landscape architect and library consultant with demonstrated experience in public library and heritage centre design for the Haldimand County Library and Heritage Centre Project. The work includes Tasks 4 through 9 as indicated on the attached “Haldimand County Library & Heritage Centre- Project Schedule, Revised Mon 3/7/17”:

Project Scope The Consultant will be required to undertake the following activities:
* lead an integrated design process with the Building Committee to review and assess functional programming requirements;
* prepare two designs at a conceptual level with related floor plans, elevations and cost estimates. The two designs may each include optional components that will also have associated cost estimates. Once the preferred conceptual design is chosen complete a final package of floor plans, elevations and cost estimates with the Committee’s revisions for Council approval;
* prepare and deliver two presentations of the design options to address the following audiences: - Board/Council/Library Staff/Museum Staff/Haldimand Museums Advisory Board - External stakeholders/the public
* support the review and selection process for the selection of the preferred design option;
* prepare all necessary detail design documents and schematics along with any required permit applications to support the construction;
* prepare procurement documents;
* support the Building Committee in its selection of a construction award by reviewing all submissions;
* oversee the construction project, including contract administration to ensure that the outcome is complete to specifications;
* arrange and attend bi-weekly meetings with the contractor and Building Committee;
* ensure proper close-out of the project, including preparing and providing to Haldimand County copies (in paper and electronic format) of all as-built drawings.
