The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (“FSRA”) is an independent regulatory agency established in 2019 to improve consumer protections in Ontario (for more details about FSRA see https://www.fsrao.ca/about-fsra).
FSRA replaces the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (“FSCO”) and the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Ontario (“DICO”), and on June 10, 2019, FSRA launched its website www.fsrao.ca. The legacy sites from FSCO http://www.fsco.gov.on.ca/ and DICO https://www.dico.com/ continue to be active as a significant amount of relevant content remain on both of these sites. In order to promote FSRA’s brand and ensure a positive experience for both consumer and sector users, content will need to be reviewed and transferred, and the sites decommissioned as soon as possible. While preparing content the Vendor will also improve the user experience by applying (i) the user experience best practices to ensure that the site is intuitively designed so that users can easily find what they are looking for (functionality, site mapping, wireframe development) (“UX”) and (ii) and the user interface. User interface refers to the look and feel of the site, (including branding, how each element of the product will look and any visual interface elements people interact with) (“UI”).
