Advanced Collaboration Tool
Purpose of this notice:
Export Development Canada (EDC), per its obligations under Chapter Five of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) and Chapter Nineteen of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), is announcing that it is undertaking a Request for Proposal (RFP).
The purpose of this RFP is to acquire seeking a vendor solution to provide an advanced collaboration software.
BACKGROUND:
Current State
EDC currently uses a variety of tools for collaboration for hybrid work. During the pandemic the popularity of an advanced collaboration tool with a digital canvas exceeded the available licenses, as a result of EDC needs to run a RFP process. Tools in use today include Microsoft Whiteboard and Miro. Microsoft Whiteboard handles the basic digital board capability, however, many teams at EDC working across Canada and with external customers need a tool with more advanced features for collaboration and facilitating interactive sessions.
Future State
EDC is looking for an advanced collaboration tool with a high degree of usability that provides facilitators with a way to run dynamic interactive sessions, that can engage both internal employees and external customers. With hybrid working environment, EDC needs to we need to improve the access to the advanced collaboration tool for teams focusing on helping Canadian companies export worldwide. With facilitators, contributors, administrators needing different feature functionality, EDC is looking to identify a tool aligned to the needs of all these main roles.
