· Successful bidders will be required to sign EllisDon's Standard Form of Subcontractor Agreement
· All Bidders must apply and meet EllisDon's Subguard criteria on all contracts over $500,000.
· EllisDon is using Subcontractor Default Insurance (SDI) on this Project. This is an insurance product that replaces Subcontractor bonding. As SDI is being used on this Project; the bidder will not be required to provide a performance and payment bond, provided that the Subcontractor has successfully pre-qualified to EllisDon for enrollment into the insurance program. All Subcontracts with a subcontract value in excess of $500,000 must have Contract Performance Security in the form of an acceptance and rating from EllisDon. The rating from EllisDon must be equal to, or in excess of the subcontract amount, or the subcontractor will be required to supplement the security with alternate forms of security acceptable to EllisDon, at the Subcontractor’s expense. The cost of Subcontractor Default Insurance for accepted Subcontractors is covered by EllisDon. All other costs of security are at the Subcontractor’s expense. The EllisDon “Subcontractor Default Insurance PreQualification Application” will be sent to you by us electronically. The form is filled out on-line. Please contact EllisDon with the name and e-mail address of the person at your company who will be responsible for filling out this application form.

· Subcontracts over $100,000 are required to use EllisDon's SUBcentre project management system; All contractors will be subject to a non-negotiable Gate Three fee.: For contracts between $100,000 - $1,000,000, the rate is $99.00/month; For contracts greater than $1,000,000, the rate is $1,200/year for the duration the contract until all payments been released.
Trades are expected to follow, at the minimum, the scope guidelines and standards set forth by the latest edition of the Alberta Construction Trade Definitions.
