BACKGROUND
Electricity Human Resources Canada (EHRC) as recently undertaken a provincial (Alberta) Labour Market Information (LMI) study and is in the process of undertaking a national Labour Market Information study of supply and demand in the sector. The national study is a follow up to the very successful LMI study completed in 2011, which was well received by industry stakeholders.
Reports will be produced for both of these studies and a condensed version of the national report will also be developed as the primary document for print and dissemination. This condensed report will provide industry with a clear and concise summary of project findings and recommendations as well as provide updated intelligence on Canada’s electricity labour force. The data will be used to inform the electricity industry workforce planning, training needs analysis and business risk mitigation.
