This Request for Information (“RFI”) is issued by Her Majesty the Queen in right of Ontario as represented by The Chief Electoral Officer of Ontario (“Elections Ontario” or “EO”), for the purposes of gathering information about an Employee Management System in order to assist in the determination of future purchasing options or requirements. Proponents are asked to respond to Elections Ontario and provide the information requested below. In the event that sufficient information is received, EO may, but is not obligated to, initiate a competitive bidding opportunity.
During a provincial General Election, EO hires more than 52,000 Election Officials and is seeking information on employee management systems that can support the entire lifecycle of selecting, hiring, and terminating temporary Election Officials.
The purpose of issuing this RFI is to:
- Determine the level of market interest;
- Obtain information on potential new technologies or approaches;
- Obtain recommendations that would enhance the success of a future procurement opportunity for this project; and,
- Obtain high-level cost estimates only for budgeting purposes.
Interested parties are invited to respond to this RFI by submitting a response to Elections Ontario. Responses should include ideas, information and recommendations that could result in a clarification of the requirements, cost-saving opportunities, and the identification of potential problem areas with this initiative.
