Purpose of this Advance Procurement Notice
This is not a bid solicitation. This is an advance notice of a potential project with anticipated security requirements to provide interested contractors an opportunity to apply for security clearances. Note that there is no guarantee that this project will proceed.
Description of the Project
Work under this Contract comprises of the supply of all labour, equipment, materials, and the supervision required to recapitalize roads and utilities at 19 Wing Comox, Lazo BC.
Description of the Services
Work will consist of removal and installation of: roadways, drainage systems, sanitary systems, water mains, street lighting, landscaping, fuel tank relocations, new gate-house, civil electrical improvements and various ancillary works related to the above.
The value of this project has been estimated at $45,000,000.
It is anticipated that this procurements will be initiated in the summer of 2019. This is conditional on the project receiving approval to proceed by the DND.
Security Requirements
Contractors will be required to hold a valid DESIGNATED ORGANIZATION SCREENING (DOS), issued or approved by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
Sub-contractors will be required to hold a valid DESIGNATED ORGANIZATION SCREENING (DOS), issued or approved by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
Process
Contractors that do not meet the stipulated security requirements and that are interested in submitting a bid for this procurement that fall under this procurement can apply for the security clearance through the Industrial Security Program (ISP). This can be done by following the procedure on DCC’s website at the following link: http://www.dcc-cdc.gc.ca/english/contractors_consultants.html. Contractors are asked to submit their request prior to February 19, 2019 quoting the following information:
- Contract number IE0713C1; and
- Level of clearance requested to be sponsored for.
