Purpose of this Advance Procurement Notice
This is not a bid solicitation. This is an advance notice of a potential project with anticipated security requirements to provide interested contractors an opportunity to apply for security clearances. Note that there is no guarantee that this project will proceed.
Description of the Project
The purpose of this project is to obtain the services of a general contractor for the construction of a new physical training building (gymnasium) with an area of approximately 10,200 sq.m., the partial renovation of the building of approximately 675 sq.m. including the current Sports Centre and the demolition of a wooden building of approximately 2,660 sq.m. The facility will be built to meet LEED Silver requirements.
Description of the Services
The work covered by the contract includes, but is not limited to, the supply of all materials, labour, tools and equipment for the construction of a new building, the renovation of an existing building and the demolition of another building.
The estimated value of this work is $25,000,000.
The procurement is expected to be in place in late summer 2018. This date is conditional on the project receiving approval to proceed from DND.
Security Requirements
Contractors will be required to hold a valid DESIGNATED ORGANIZATION SCREENING (DOS) at the level of RELIABILITY, issued or approved by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
Sub-contractors and specialized contractors will be required to hold a valid DESIGNATED ORGANIZATION SCREENING (DOS) at the level of RELIABILITY, issued or approved by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
Process
Contractors and sub-contractors that do not meet the stipulated security requirements and that are interested in submitting a proposal for this procurement can apply for the security clearance through the Industrial Security Program (ISP). This can be done by following the procedure on DCC’s website at the following link: http://www.dcc-cdc.gc.ca/english/contractors_consultants.html. Contractors are asked to submit their request prior to May 9th 2018 quoting the following information:
- Contract number C.001489-EG; and
- Level of clearance requested to be sponsored for.
