Purpose of this Advance Procurement Notice
This is not a bid solicitation. This is an advance notice of a potential project with anticipated security requirements to provide interested contractors an opportunity to apply for security clearances. Note that there is no guarantee that this project will proceed.
Description of the Project
This project will replace various windows in the east and west facing walls of Building BB-104 at Garrison Petawawa.
Description of the Services
The project will require demolition of existing windows, installation of new windows, removal of asbestos containing transite wall panels on interior walls, installation of new drywall and paint. Water heater rads and security screens will need to be removed and re-installed as part of this project.
The estimated value of this project is approximately $500,000.00. The tender is expected to be advertised in the Summer of 2022. This is conditional on the project receiving approval to proceed by the Department of National Defence (DND).
Security Requirements
Contractors will be required to hold a valid FACILITY SECURITY CLEARANCE (FSC) at the level of SECRET, issued or approved by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC). The Contractor/Offeror personnel requiring access to sensitive site(s) must EACH hold a valid personnel security screening at the level of SECRET, granted or approved by CISD, PWGSC.
Sub-contractors personnel requiring access to sensitive site(s) must EACH hold a valid personnel security screening at the level of SECRET, issued or approved by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
Process
Contractors that do not meet the stipulated security requirements and that are interested in submitting a bid for this procurement can apply for the security clearance through the Industrial Security Program (ISP). This can be done by following the procedure on DCC’s website at the following link: https://www.dcc-cdc.gc.ca/industry/security-requirements. Contractors are asked to submit their request prior to December 3, 2021 quoting the following information:
- Contract number 500390296; and
- Level of clearance requested to be sponsored for.
