Defence Construction Canada – Request for Abbreviated Proposals for:
HATCX99, Design-Build Residential Low-Rise Apartment Building for Canadian Forces Housing Agency, Comox, British Columbia.
Defence Construction Canada (DCC) is inviting design-build firms to submit Proposals for the design and construction services specific to this Canadian Forces Housing Agency project.
The Design-Builder will be required to provide the necessary services for the complete design and construction of all aspects of the project. The required services include, but may not be limited to the following: design documents for a low rise apartment building; construction of twelve (12) apartment units within one (1) apartment building; construction of foundations and associated landscaping; site base preparation (removal of organic materials and placement of granular materials); connecting the apartment building to all utilities (including laterals for municipal infrastructure) in coordination with the municipality.
Information provided by the Proponents will be evaluated using the established criteria in the Request for Abbreviated Proposals. The criteria relate to previous achievements and experience, as well as technical and managerial expertise. The objective of this Request for Abbreviated Proposals is to select the proponent with the highest total score.
Proponents are advised that a non-mandatory site visit of 19 Wing, CFB Comox, British Columbia is being offered on May 23, 2019 at 14:00 hours PDT (local time) at CFHA Offices, 5-1625 Military Row, Lazo, British Columbia.
Proponents are advised that DCC is contemplating the site adaptation of the Design-Builder’s design and the construction of up to three (3) additional twelve (12) apartment unit apartment buildings at 19 Wing, CFB Comox, British Columbia. Details related to the site adaptation and construction of additional apartment buildings are provided in Section 3 of the RFAP.
The estimated construction cost for the initial one (1) twelve (12) unit apartment building is in the order of magnitude of $3,600,000.
