Purpose of this Advance Procurement Notice
This is not a bid solicitation. This is an advance notice of a potential project with anticipated security requirements to provide interested contractors and sub-contractors an opportunity to apply for security clearances. Note that there is no guarantee that this project will proceed.
Description of the Project
The project is to complete envelope repairs at building D201 located in the Halifax Dockyard, CFB Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Description of the Services
The project generally consists of, but it is not limited to, the removal of existing masonry cladding and replace with aluminum composite wall panels, removal of existing ballasted EPDM roof and replace with modified bitumen. The project may also include the installation of a new roof mounted cooling tower, complete site development / landscaping, and installation of window coverings.
The project estimated cost is in the order of $6,700,000.00
It is anticipated that this procurement will be initiated in the spring of 2021. This is conditional on the project receiving approval to proceed by DND.
Security Requirements
Contractors will be required to hold a valid FACILITY SECURITY CLEARANCE (FSC) at the level of SECRET, issued by the Contract Security Program (CSP), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
Sub-contractors will be required to hold a valid DESIGNATED ORGANIZATION SCREENING (DOS) or FACILITY SECURITY CLEARANCE (FSC) at the level of SECRET, issued by the Contract Security Program (CSP), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
Process
Contractors and Sub-contractors that do not meet the stipulated security requirements and that are interested in submitting a bid for this procurement can apply for the security clearance through the Industrial Security Program (ISP). This can be done by following the procedure on DCC’s website at the following link: http://www.dcc-cdc.gc.ca/english/contractors_consultants.html.
Contractors and Sub-contractors are asked to submit their request prior to July 31, 2020 quoting the following information:
- Contract number N.700100.18.12-1; and
- Level of clearance requested to be sponsored for.
