240278-280119-RFP - Carpet Paint Renewal

Colliers Project Leaders is seeking the services of an Interior Designer. The intent of the project is to supply and install carpeting, painted finishes and flooring for ORM spaces within B25391 at MECP District Office 54 Cedar Point Dr, Barrie, ON.

Following are the spaces as specified in the LAMP report attached:

•    REQ-281074 wall finish renewal
•    REQ-281053 wall finish renewal
•    REQ-281064 wall finish renewal
•    REQ-281084 wall finish renewal
•    REQ-281040 carpet renewal
•    REQ-281066 carpet renewal 
•    REQ-281056 carpet renewal

Scope includes replacing preparation layer under the carpet, scraping out old adhesive layer, and addressing localized cracking of slab, before installing the new carpet. Consultant may have to assess structural localized issues therefore a cash allowance is included to engage a structural engineer if required. As a risk management measure, after the concrete slab is properly assessed during the design phase, a cash allowance may be included in the construction contract in case major structural issues need to be addressed by the contractor. Scope of services includes the preparation of a construction phasing plan (three phases). The construction scope includes having the contractor moving furniture and boxes around within each construction phase.
