2021-RFP-017(A) - REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR THE PROVISION OF CONSULTANT SERVICES FOR BRIDGE INFRAST

PROJECT OVERVIEW The City is seeking to retain a Consultant to provide engineering services for the Bridge Infrastructure Upgrades Project. The Consultant’s team will be retained to provide technical and professional services for an options analysis study for the Bridge Infrastructure Upgrades project. The City invites individual firms or consortiums of firms to submit Proposals for the above-referenced Project in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Request for Proposal document.

Project Scope The City of Iqaluit is implementing a program to develop a long-term strategy for three bridges located in Iqaluit – Apex Bridge, Road to Nowhere Bridge, and Astro Hill Bridges. In 2020, the City engaged Concentric Engineering to prepare a condition assessment report on each bridge. The purpose of this assignment is to prepare a long-term plan for each of the City’s bridges that will provide the City a clear direction on the best way to maintain and upgrade the bridges, along with the associated cost estimates. Each bridge has several unique traits that will need to be considered as part of the evaluation. The intent is for this assignment to be complete in 2021.
