R19-0000000013 - Emergency Services - Snow and Ice Removal

The City requires a contractor or multiple contractors to assist the City by providing SNIC services on the City’s roadway network, as part of the SNIC ‘Extreme Weather Event’ Emergency response on an ‘as and when required’ basis.

The City requires a contractor or multiple contractors to provide various pieces of equipment in multiples of one (1) or more to be retained for Emergency Callout during the period of November 1- March 31 annually.
The City requires the selected proponent(s) to begin clearing within twenty-four hours’ (24) after callout for services.  The selected proponents will be required to supply the City with sufficient equipment and adequately trained and proficient operators to operate the equipment during these Emergency events for a minimum of 72 hours and until the time the City determines the work is complete.  The normal operating hours will be from 6 am to 6 pm, Monday – Friday, however, after hours and weekends may be required.
