The Children’s Aid Society of Toronto (CAS Toronto), is seeking a skilled, qualified and competent Proponent to provide External Audit Services for the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2023 (FY 2022/23). It is expected that the selected CPA firm will be appointed as CAS Toronto's auditors for a five year period, subject to satisfactory performance on an annual basis. The audits are to be performed in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and the financial statements are to be prepared in accordance with Canadian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles applicable to non-for-profit organizations.

CAS Toronto is the largest board operated child welfare organization in Canada. CAS Toronto is an incorporated not-for-profit agency governed by a volunteer Board of Directors whose core operations are funded by the Province of Ontario.  CAS Toronto's primary funding source is the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, with additional sources from the Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada and other levels of government.
