CBI20210324 - REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR BIOHAZARDOUS WASTE SERVICES

The Biohazardous Waste Management Services function in CBI is currently managed by our local Operations teams that typically oversee a Regional network of our Clinics and/or Offices. This local Operations team selects a local waste management company and coordinates the entire effort to setup each location with the required biohazardous waste management services.

This decentralized structure not only puts a significant pressure on our local Operations teams by taking on responsibilities that do not involve client care, but also leads to significant variability in the services we ask them to procure on behalf of CBI. Being able to reduce this onus on our local teams and selecting a Proponent(s) that can reduce this variability will help streamline the biohazardous waste management function within the CBI network.

CBI is seeking to satisfy the following objectives in issuing the RFP:

a) Achieve the solution that suits CBI to oversee the biohazardous waste management services with a trusted partner.
b) Obtain the highest quality customer service throughout the waste collection process.
c) Provide a streamlined approach to invoicing and billing, whereby CBI will be billed with a consolidated invoice referencing cost for each location on a monthly basis.
d) Ensure compatibility with existing services of CBI.
e) Obtain quality sharps and biohazardous waste management services at a good value.
f) Enhance customer satisfaction for our staff at each location.
g) Support Proponents that demonstrate their commitment to the environment.
