CBC/Radio-Canada is seeking Proposals from the industry in response to its Request for Service Agreement (“RFSA) for Simultaneous Interpretation Services (including events and meetings) for CBC/Radio-Canada.
An Agreement resulting from this RFSA may potentially be for two (2) years with two (2) irrevocable options to extend for one (1) year period(s).
1. SUMMARY OF REQUIRED GOODS/SERVICES:
The objective of this Request for Supply Arrangement (RFSA) is to select the future qualified supplier(s) for simultaneous interpretation services for CBC/Radio-Canada. We are looking for suppliers who will have the capacity to support the needs of CBC/Radio-Canada across the country, including, but not limited to, its board meetings, press conferences and events.
2. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
There are no Mandatory requirements to obtain access to the RFSA documents, nonetheless, Proponents will have to demonstrate in their offer, that all their Interpreters adhere to the strictest standards of the Interpreters Code of Ethics especially as it pertains to the confidential treatment of information communicated and heard, and meet all other specified mandate requirements and can deliver the required services.
3. TO OBTAIN THE RFSA DOCUMENTATION
As CBC/Radio-Canada uses Merx (https://www.merx4.merx.com/cbc) to manage its solicitation process, all Proponents must obtain the RFSA documents through Merx. Here is the link to the Merx Quick Get Started Steps for new users (http://bit.ly/2NW0a93).
1. Determine your eligibility to participate based on the description/objective statement for the RFSA.
2. Register with MERX if not already registered by following the link to the Quick Get Started Steps provided above.

4. COMMUNICATION WITH CBC/RADIO-CANADA
Any contact with CBC/Radio-Canada at this stage of the RFSA must be undertaken by e-mail only, which will be addressed to the CBC/Radio-Canada Representative for this RFSA, whose co-ordinates appear below. All e-mails pertaining to this RFSA must state the RFSA reference number (RFSA # CORP20210105) in the “Subject” of the e-mail.

Once the tender documents have been obtained all communications must be undertaken through MERX. Proponents may have queries, require further information or clarification, or discover certain omissions or ambiguities in the RFSA documents. If so, or if there is any doubt about the meaning of any part of this RFSA, must submit their questions through MERX no later than the date specified in PART I: INTRODUCTION, Table 1: Critical Dates in the RFSA Process of the main document
5. RECEIPT OF PROPOSALS
Proposals must be received by CBC/Radio-Canada, via electronic submission to the Merx Website (www.merx.com) no later than February 8, 2021 at 12:00:00 noon, Eastern Time.
The Proponent has the sole responsibility for the timely receipt of a Proposal by CBC/Radio-Canada. The Proponent cannot transfer such responsibility to CBC/Radio-Canada. The MERX clock shall be used to determine the time of receipt of the Proposal, whether the time indicated on such clock is accurate or not.
Partial Proposals, amendments or revisions which are received after the date and time for the RFSA Submission Closing Date will not be accepted.
CBC/Radio-Canada retains the right to negotiate with Proponents on any procurement.
