The key objectives of this RFSO is to select supplier(s) to CBC/Radio-Canada for the following:
Part 1:
Acquisition of network equipment and network management system. This part includes, but is not limited to: access switches, routers, wireless controllers, wireless access points, firewalls. Maintenance and support, installation, training and professional services will also be provided by the successful Proponent.
Part 2:
Acquisition of data center fabric equipment in a spine and leaf topology. This part includes, but is not limited to: switches, software and a fabric controller. Maintenance and support, installation, deployment, training and professional services will also be provided by the successful proponent.
Part 3:
Acquisition of optical transceivers, copper RJ45 transceivers and active optical cables (AOC).
CBC/Radio-Canada reserves the right to select one or more suppliers after the evaluation of the proposals. Proponents can bid on the entirety or parts of the current RFSO as follows:

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION:
Part 1:
1) CBC/Radio-Canada wishes to ensure that it receives competitive pricing for network equipment. Therefore, the proponent shall provide CBC/Radio-Canada with a minimal discount rebate on government price lists on the nework equipment.
2) The proponent must have already provided similar services for other large Canadian corporations.
3) The proponent must be at least a Cisco Juniper Silver Certified Partner (Gold preferred). With a minimum of five (5) years’ experience of a similar contract value, five (5) million dollar annual contract, with at least three (3) valid contracts of a similar nature currently in force.
4) The proponent shall be able to deliver the required products and services across Canada.
Part 2:
1) The Proponent shall be able to provide a complete datacenter solution including switches, fabric controller and software. The fabric controller must allow management, orchestration, monitoring and troubleshooting of the data center fabric. A single manufacturer shall provide all switches and the fabric controller.
2) In a spine and leaf topology, the leaf switches shall provide 100Mbps, 1Gbps, 10Gbps, 25Gbps and 40Gbps ports with a bandwidth between spine and leaf switches up to 100Gbps.
3)The Proponent must have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience of a similar contract value, three (3) million dollars annual contract.
4)The Proponent’s clientele must currently include a minimum of three (3) major Canadian corporations or federal agencies.
Part 3:
1) CBC/Radio-Canada currently has network equipment from several manufacturers such as Cisco, Juniper and Arista. As such, CBC/Radio-Canada wishes to purchase transceivers compatible with the following network equipment brands: Juniper, Cisco and Arista.
2) The Supplier must have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience of a similar contract value, one (1) million dollars annual contract, with at least three (3) valid contracts of a similar nature currently in force.
3) The proponent shall be able to deliver the required products across Canada.
