Description

As a specialty programming service provider, CBC/Radio-Canada receives remuneration from broadcasting distribution undertakings (BDUs) that distribute its specialty services. The total remuneration paid by BDUs is generally based on the number of BDU subscribers that receive the programming service.
In order to verify the accuracy of the payments received from BDUs for the distribution of its services as well as the BDU’s distribution compliance with the terms of its agreements, CBC/Radio-Canada must hire an auditor to conduct an audit of the subscriber information held by the BDUs. The selected auditor will audit the BDU’s books, records, accounts and other information as is reasonably required.
