PRCP0002987 - Administration services and underwriting for BDC’s Group Insurance Benefits

The purpose of this Public Tender Notice is to inform potential bidder that BDC will be issuing (RFP) for suppliers interested, capable and legally authorized in providing the necessary services for BDC's group insurance benefits program. BDC provides group insurance benefits tailored to the unique needs of various employee groups, covering approximately 2,900 active employees and 1,100 retirees, including surviving spouses and orphans, across Canada.
The primary services required for the upcoming RFP includes a review of BDC’s insurance benefits program, ensuring suitability, financial competitiveness, and enhancements for the BDC employees, and BDC administrator. The vendor shall provide BDC’s insurance benefits service, which encompasses the following:

• Underwrite and administer the flexible group benefits program for both active and retired employees.
• Provide a fully outsourced administration solution for the flexible group benefits program for active employees.
