Description

Qualified Contractors are hereby invited to submit a tender to undertake the Taxiway Golf Rehabilitation and Taxiway Golf By-Pass at the Greater London International Airport. Tenders, on supplied forms will be received at the Greater London International Airport (address/contact informaton noted below).

The Contractor shall supply all supervision, qualified labour, tools, equipment and materials to construct the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents.

The Project Work includes but is not limited to the following:

Supply, installation, maintenance and removal of temporary devices during the Work.
Taxiway Golf rehabilitation (Base Contract) will involve the following civil work:
1. Full depth (120mm to 230mm) asphalt removal of existing Taxiway Golf and stockpiling milling onsite as directed by the engineer onsite and airport.
2. Partial depth (50mm) asphalt removal of Taxiway Golf shoulders, stockpiling milling onsite as directed by the engineer onsite and airport and 50mm HMAC paving.
3. Removal of existing granular base, fine grade and compact exposed granular base (East of Apron V).
4. Fine grade and compact exposed granular base.
5. Supply and place new granular base up to the design top of base (West of Apron V).
6. 180mm HMAC paving (2 layers of 65mm base course and 50mm surface course).
7. Pavement marking survey.
8. Place average 30mm topsoil and seeding up to approximately 2.0m off of edge of shoulder.
9. Supply and install all other associated materials to provide for a complete installation.
Routing and sealing Runway 33 Hold Bay [Provisional].
Partial depth (50mm) asphalt removal of Apron II, stockpiling milling on site as directed by the engineer onsite and airport and 50mm HMAC paving [Provisional].
Taxiway Golf rehabilitation (Bid alternate) will involve the following work:
1. Selective site demolition and topsoil stripping
2. Site earthworks and grading activities to establish pavement sub-grade elevations
3. Construction of new drainage systems, whether open or closed, including new catchbasins, sub-drains and ditches
4. Supply and installation of new concrete culverts with rip rap
5. Construction of granular base and sub-base
6. Construction of asphalt pavement for the new Taxiway Golf By-Pass
7. Landscaping including topsoil placement and hydroseeding
8. Removal and salvage of existing electrical features
9. Installation of temporary connections to maintain existing airport lighting
10. Supply and installation of airfield lighting and signage
11. Supply and install all other associated materials to provide for a complete installation
12. Pavement marking survey

All tenders must be submitted on the tender form provided and are to be properly executed, in single copy and submitted as instructed in the tender documents. Tender/proposal shall be placed in sealed envelopes, clearly indicating their contents, and addressed to the office indicated below:
