Qualified Contractors are hereby invited to submit a tender to undertake the South Commercial Development Phase 1 Project at the ST. ANDREWS AIRPORT.
The work generally involves the extension of Taxiway Bravo, the construction of a new Apron Taxilane and the construction of a new Landside Access Road, including topsoil stripping, earthworks and grading, granular subbase and base, asphalt paving, low pressure sanitary sewer, storm drainage works, airfield edge lighting and associated works. The work also includes a number of optional items which will be undertaken at the discretion of the Owner on the basis of the project budget.
Plans, specifications and tender forms may be obtained by prospective bidders from Merx.com. Tender documents are available as of May 10, 2018.
A Bid Bond, Certified Cheque, or Irrevocable Letter of Credit in the amount of 10% of the tender amount and an Agreement to Bond must accompany each Tender. The successful Tenderer will be required to provide a 50% Performance Bond and a 50% Labour and Material Payment Bond upon execution of the Contract.
There will be a PRE-BID MEETING/SITE INSPECTION on May 24, 2018 at the ST. ANDREWS AIRPORT. The meeting will begin at 3:00pm at the Airport Maintenance Garage. Attendance at the Pre-Bid Meeting is not mandatory but strongly recommended.
Tender Closing Date: May 31 AT 2:00 P.M. LOCAL TIME.
The lowest or any Tender will not necessarily be accepted. Tenders submitted will be opened privately.
