18-0032-02 - Saint John Airport - Phase 2 - Airfield Modernization Project

Qualified Contractors are hereby invited to submit a tender to undertake the Airfield Modernization Project at the SAINT JOHN AIRPORT. Tenders, on supplied forms, will be received at the Saint John Airport Inc. (4180 Loch Lomond Road, Saint John, NB, E2N 1L7, Canada) until 2:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday, March 26, 2019.
The work generally involves approximately 35,000 tonnes of airfield rated HMAC, 200,000 sq. metres of asphalt partial/full depth removal, 5,000 m of sub-drainage pipe replacement, 1,000 sq. metres of 360mm thick concrete pavement, 10,000 cubic metres granular base, select areas of excavation, airfield pavement markings, restoration and major airfield lighting improvements.  The work is scheduled to begin in May 2019.

A Bid Bond, Certified Cheque, or Irrevocable Letter of Credit in the amount of 10% of the tender amount and an Agreement to Bond must accompany each Tender.  The successful Tenderer will be required to provide a 50% Performance Bond and a 50% Labour and Material Payment Bond upon execution of the Contract.

Tender Closing Date: Tuesday March 26, 2019 AT 2:00 P.M. LOCAL TIME.
