The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) is to assist the FMAA in identifying a shortlist of qualified Contractors interested in participating in a Call for Tender for the Runway Rehabilitation and Approach Lighting Upgrades Project while also assessing the feasibility of completing this project as planned in the 2020 construction season. Information received through this RFQ may be used by the FMAA to refine the project details/specifications.
This is not a Call for Tender. The RFQ process is non-binding and therefore shall not create any formal legal commitment between the FMAA and any other party. The FMAA has no responsibility to reimburse or compensate any person for responding to this RFQ. The results of this RFQ may however be used by the FMAA in the evaluation of Tenders submitted in response to a Call for Tender. Parties interested in the Project shall submit their Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) no later than the closing date and time, and following the instructions contained within the RFQ document. Respondents are not under any obligation to submit a tender during a Call for Tender.
It is intended that the results of the RFQ process will be distributed to all Respondents once evaluations have been completed. The FMAA is not under any obligation to accept any SOQ Submission.
At a later date, the FMAA, at its sole discretion, may choose to invite only those shortlisted through the RFQ process or the public at large to a Call for Tender. The FMAA will evaluate Tenders on the basis of best value determined by both tendered price and the results of the RFQ process. The FMAA is not under any obligation to select the lowest, nor any, tender. Tenders will not be opened publicly.
