This Request For Information (RFI) is designed to determine the technical and commercial expertise in the Nova Scotian market that can be applied to AREA’s community solar and battery storage projects.
AREA is interested in engaging with qualified firms to explore delivering these projects in several different manners including, but not limited to: a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), equipment supply, or contracted construction services to a set of design drawings, among others.
Engagement and expertise from qualified manufacturers, project developers, professional services, contractors and other interested parties will be essential to determining the final shape AREA’s community solar and storage projects take and their delivery mechanism. Firm qualifications, interest and information obtained through the RFI process will be used to inform the technical and commercial terms of a Request For Proposal (RFP) that AREA will issue for these projects in early 2020.
Interested entities (“Respondents”) are requested to provide detailed information on how they would propose to engage with AREA on these projects. Information received from the RFI process will assist AREA in making decisions to pursue clean energy solutions and engage in discussions with Respondents.
