This Request for Proposal (RFP) has been issued by Agricorp in order to identify and select the most suitable proponent to provide Intel and Co-location Services.
Following an evaluation process, Agricorp intends to sign a contract with the successful proponent for two (2) years with the option to extend for two (2), one (1) year options. The contract value, which includes option year(s), is not to exceed $240,000 CAD excluding HST.
Agricorp is seeking a vendor with suitable facility and operation capacity to provide a secured and reliable environment for our co-location equipment. Agricorp expects to operate and support its own equipment with the majority of the work being done remotely.
Agricorp intends to procure a dedicated, data centre provided, internet connection for establishing virtual private network (VPN) communication between Agricorp’ and the vendor site. The co-location facility must have Point of Presence (PoP) for major Ontario telecommunication (TELCO) companies. Agricorp will work with the TELCO(s) of our choice.
The facility must be located no more than 75 kilometers (as measured in a straight-line using Google Maps or similar online mapping software) from Agricorp (1 Stone Rd West., Guelph, ON., N1H 8M4) in order for staff to gain timely access in the event of equipment failure. To reduce the risk of simultaneous power outage, the facility must not be on the same electrical transmission grid as Agricorp.
The services must be fully operational by August 20, 2024.
